While the bright yellow wattle is Australia’s floral emblem, there are actually more than 950 varieties of wattle in Australia. This variety boasts an abundance of creamy yellow flowers, and is common throughout south-western Victoria.
Cannon Hill is adjacent to the War Memorial and overlooks the Lake Pertobe recreational area, and the main beach area protected by the Breakwater.
Surrounded by farmland, this small lake is nestled between Lake Bullen Merri and Lake Gnotuk near Camperdown, Victoria. The district is known as the “Lakes and Craters District” because of the large number of volcanic crater lakes in the area.
